Join our Electronic Solutions team with an experienced skill set to help our company install and service electronic/low voltage security systems. This position has a vested interest in the success of the whole team being aware of and communicating the status of all jobs in the pipeline regardless of status, ability to adapt to challenges in the field, and to react in keeping with customer and company expectations with minimal outside assistance. This position will play an active part in all aspects of the project from basic wire pulling to complex system programming. As the company grows, this position will assist in the training and development of new employees. The main attributes we look at when evaluating candidates are:
MAIN JOB DUTIES
- Act as field install project manager keeping projects on time and under budget (20%)
- Prepare for and communicate material and labor needs for projects (15%)
- Perform and contribute to all physical aspects of the installation process (40%)
- Employee training and development (25%)
- Duties include but are not limited to:
- Lead and manage low-voltage security installations (Access Control, IP Video / CCTV / Video Surveillance, Burglar / Security Alarm Systems, Intercoms, etc.)
- Willingness to perform and contribute to all physical aspects of the installation process (planning, wiring, devicing, programming, testing, training, troubleshooting, etc)
- Accountable for installation efficiency and clear communication with proper individuals regarding all installs including labor and materials
- Able to communicate clearly with internal and external customers, ensuring all projects are completed smoothly from initial site survey to project completion and customer training
- Train for and obtain manufacturer certifications for product offerings as necessary
- Timely and accurately update and complete work orders via OMS (operations software) process flow
- Provide constructive feedback
- Work with other members of the Electronic Solutions Team to develop and train new team members
- Foster team mentality
- Accept ownership for all accountabilities
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces including company vehicle, test benches, and customer sites

- The company will provide continual training opportunities
- Full-time position Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of Access Control, IP Video/CCTV/Video Surveillance, Burglar/Security Alarm, Intercom, and other security-related low-voltage systems
- Proficiency with IP/LAN processes
- Enjoys hands-on work and has a strong mechanical aptitude
- Good problem-solving and logic skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift/maneuver 80+ lbs.
- Comfortable working autonomously and/or as part of a team
- Ability to pass background check, drug test, and DMV record check
- High School diploma or equivalent
preferred work history
- 3+ years of previous security and/or low-voltage installation experience
- 5+ years of previous work experience
- Previous demonstrated experience leading project installations
- Power Limited Technician (PLT) License
- Understanding of mechanical/locking hardware or locksmithing experience
